- Famous for fishing fun – from Walleye hunting (strong populations from 13 inches to over 25 inches) to a quick-catch shore lunch.
- Anglers will love the variety: fast action Nothern Pike; Muskie over 50″ is more common than ever; Bass; and the aggressive Perch – Sunfish – Crappie.
- Off water (yet close to these Walker resort cabins) are exciting things to visit: the Northern Lights Casino, restaurants, Paul Bunyan State Forest, MN Lake Country Scenic Byway, unique Eelpout Festival, Moondance Jam.
- Seasonal recreation: World-class hunting, great golfing, hiking, biking, skiing, and snowmobiling on hundreds of miles of woodland trails including including the Paul Bunyan and Heartland Trails. Leech Lake is an ice fishing paradise.
